B.Y.O.C. — Bring Your Own Controller with DJ Rick Geez.
Halloween afternoon at 757 Dream Lab Studio is for the DJs. B.Y.O.C. — Bring Your Own Controller brings DJ Rick Geez to Hampton on Saturday, October 31, from 4 to 7 p.m. Eastern for a free DJ conference and jam session.
The afternoon makes room for both conversation and time on the decks. The program includes DJ discussions, scratch sessions, tips and tricks, and guest DJ sets. It also explores the connection between mathematics, music and DJ techniques.
DJs, aspiring DJs and people interested in learning about DJing are welcome. Bring a DJ controller or laptop, or use equipment available at the studio. Whether you have a technique to share or a question to work through, the gathering offers a place to connect around the craft.
If you want to perform, the event page offers sign-up for a 10–15 minute DJ set and asks for a setlist in advance. A general-admission ticket reserves entry; it does not confirm a performance slot.
B.Y.O.C. takes place at 757 Dream Lab Studio, 2606 Build America Drive, Hampton, Virginia. General admission is free. The event page says Rick will livestream on his YouTube channel, so attendees may appear on camera.
Dreamin Innovations will be handling photography, video, and livestream coverage for this event.
